About Aradia

Aradia has worked in the field of Healing Arts for over 10 years. She has lived and worked at various retreat centers around the world, including Breitenbush Hot Springs in Oregon, Harbin Hot Springs in California, Pura Vida Yoga Spa in Costa Rica, and various Ashrams in India.

Through her travels and professional experiences at retreat centers as a Massage Therapist and Teacher, she has had the unique opportunity to study with many exceptional teachers. Aradia offers her eternal gratitude to all her teachers.

Coming from a family of healers and teachers, Aradia has always been immersed in the Healing Arts. Her first structured study of bodywork was in Shiatsu at age 15. By the time she was 17, she was a Reiki Master, and at 18 she became licensed in the state of Oregon to provide massage.

Since then Aradia has been weaving together her love of healing, bodywork, yoga and travel. She has earned over 1500 hours of accredited training in her field.

In 2000, Aradia began her study of Watsu at Brietenbush Hot Springs, and over the next few years she went on to get certified in Watsu, Healing Dance, and Water Dance at Harbin Hot Springs in California.

In 2001, she traveled to Asia, first studying Thai Massage in Northern Thailand with massage master Ashokanda. Then she traveled to India, where she stayed at the Himaylan Yoga Institute in Rishekesh, India.

Aradia practiced Massage, Thai Massage, and Watsu at Brietenbush Hot Springs off and on from 2000-2004. Aradia also taught Meditation, Compassionate Awareness, and Ai Chi (aquatic movement meditation) at Brietenbush.

In 2004, Aradia moved to Costa Rica to live at Pura Vida, a world class Yoga Resort. It was there she discovered Anusara Yoga, as well receiving the opportunity to study with the most renowned Yoga teachers in the Western Hemisphere. She cultivated a strong love of Vinyasa and of Anusara Yoga. Costa Rica was where Aradia first studied with John Friend, Anusara’s founder.
Aradia returned to India in 2005 and completed a Certificate in Yoga Education at the Yoga Vidya Gurkul in Nasik, India. Aradia then returned to Costa Rica to continue at Pura Vida as a Watsu therapist and as a Yoga teacher.

Aradia has very recently returned to Oregon to be closer to her family and to establish some roots in the United States. She is now in Portland opening her Healing Arts practice, offering Hot Stone Massage, Thai Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and, soon, Watsu.
